Security Industry Association
Formed in 1969, the Security Industry Association (SIA) provides its members
with a full-service, international trade association promoting growth,
expansion, and professionalism within the security industry by providing
education, research, technical standards, representation, and defense
of our member's interests. SIA has over 300 member companies representing
manufacturers, distributors, service providers, integrators and others.
SIA members are involved in several market segments such as, CCTV, access
control, biometrics, computer security, fire/burglar alarms, home automation,
just to name a few. Members work together to address issues facing the
industry and develop programs to enhance the environment in which they

NEW ADDITIONS
National Association of Catastrophe Adjusters
Inc.
NACAŽ was organized in 1976 by a group of highly qualified catastrophe
adjusters. The association is dedicated to improving professional standards,
insuring working relations with one another and promoting the general
welfare of the individual members. The association has grown over the
years and presently has a total of 347 members (276 General, 21 Associate,
4 Apprentice and 46 Business Associate.) Members are located throughout
the United States and Canada. Most are available to insurance companies,
self insured's or adjusting firms on an individual basis for the purpose
of adjusting catastrophic losses Their mission is to provide a professional
organization focused on excellence in catastrophe insurance adjusting

Society for Risk Analysis
The Society for Risk Analysis is a multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary,
scholarly, international society that provides an open forum for all those
who are interested in risk analysis. Risk analysis is broadly defined
to include risk assessment, risk characterization, risk communication,
risk management, and policy relating to risk, in the context of risks
of concern to individuals, to public and private sector organizations,
and to society at a local, regional, national, or global level. More information

Kansas Emergency Management Association
KEMA offers networking opportunities among local emergency managers as
well as opportunities to interact with state and national emergency management
professionals and other affiliated individuals, governmental agencies
and interested private groups.
Partner organizations include many federal agencies
as well as private industry groups such as the Partnership for Emergency

The Emergency Management Association of Tennessee
EMAT is a non-profit association of people interested in emergency management.
A large number of members are emergency management personnel in local
EM offices: directors, deputy/assistant directors and staff. Others work
in related emergency services fields such as fire departments, rescue
squads, emergency medical agencies, Red Cross, military/national guard
units, E-911 districts or law enforcement. Some are industrial representatives
with emergency response job responsibilities within their company. Along
with professional training, conferences, annual business meetings and
membership recruitment, there are two programs sponsored or supported
by EMAT:
CEMP - Certified Emergency Management Professional
program.
K-9 - Certified Search and Rescue dog and handler
teams.

California Emergency Services Association
CESA was founded in 1965 with the mission of preserving and protecting
property through emergency preparedness and disaster mitigation. Their
membership is composed of emergency managers and planners from all levels
of government (city, county, state, federal, special districts), hospital/medical
professionals, education representatives, public service organizations,
business/industry emergency planners and other individuals interested
in this field. CESA is divided into three geographic Chapters-Inland,
Coastal and Southern. By joining one of the Chapters, you automatically
become a member of CESA. Each chapter has regularly scheduled Board meetings
and holds informational seminars and training sessions throughout the

The Northeast States Emergency Consortium
NESEC is a not for profit natural hazard mitigation and emergency management
organization, located in Wakefield, Massachusetts. NESEC is the only multi-hazard
consortium of its kind in the country and is supported and funded by the
Department of Homeland
Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts,
New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont form the
consortium. NESEC develops, promotes and coordinates "all-hazards" emergency
management activities throughout the Northeast. This includes hazard risk
evaluation and assessment, public awareness and education, hazard mitigation
and information technology transfer. NESEC's work is a vital component
to planning and response for the safety and welfare of the over 36 million
people in the Northeast. It works in partnership with public and private

The Association of Minnesota Emergency
Managers
AMEM was established in 1955, is comprised of over 400 county, city and
other emergency response planners throughout the state of Minnesota. The
association strives to develop a solid network of experienced Emergency
Management professionals; foster and advocate the development of procedures
and programs which advance disaster preparedness throughout Minnesota;
insure a high caliber of training and professional development; and cultivate

Alabama Association of Emergency Managers
AAEM is a non-profit organization of Emergency Management personnel established
to instill and stimulate love of their community, state and country; advocate
a strong emergency preparedness program adequate for the defense of our
country; foster fraternal relations between Emergency Management personnel
at all levels of government; provide a recognizable force through which
Emergency Management advocates can express their concerted views of matters
of interest and concern; establish an alliance between EMA offices and
other agencies of state and local government which have emergency preparedness
responsibilities for the exchange of ideas and concerns; establish an
effective liaison with businesses, industries and educational institutions;
promote professionalism among Emergency Management personnel by establishing
performance standards and encouraging continuing education; promote necessary
legislation to enhance emergency preparedness at both the state and national
