Publishing a newsletter, week after week, is more work than I expected.
But the feedback from our readers has been very encouraging. The
response, and growing readership, has frankly exceeded expectations!
But recently I received a question about our editorial bias
and the upcoming election. The reader felt our story choices and our
newsclip wording indicated support for a particular candidate. He
believed editorial bias was inappropriate for a BC and DR industry
newsletter.
Interestingly enough, the reader felt my bias was for the
candidate I do not plan to
vote for next month. My intention is to
present articles and make available resources to fellow professionals
in our community, without a political bias.
We do this every week for you, our reader. I read every question or comment sent to me via email, and do my
best to respond to them all. We are committed to making the Continuity
e-GUIDE and the annual, printed Disaster Resource GUIDE the most
comprehensive source for objective information related to business
continuity, disaster recovery and emergency management.
Want to know who I’ll vote for next month? I’m not going
to say! But if you think our reporting is biased, or if you think we need
to do better, please write and let me know. If we aren’t satisfying
you, we want to know so we can improve.
And, by the way, if you like what we’re doing, it's great to hear
that, too!
