Southeastern Continuity Planners Association
(SCPA)
SCPA is an informal professional association made up of business continuity
professionals, public sector emergency management professionals, and vendor
professionals catering to the business continuity field. Our purpose is
to provide a forum for training, networking, and the exchange of ideas
and information. We meet on a quarterly basis, usually the second Thursday
of the middle month of each quarter at one of our member locations, usually
in the Atlanta metropolitan area. We have no dues. We welcome all who

Your Contingency Planners of OHIO
The Executive Council and fellow CPO members have been working diligently
for months in preparation of our 15th Annual Business Survival and Recovery
Conference. To be held on October 25-26, this conference promises to be

Business Recovery Planners Association of Southeastern Wisconsin
BRPASW is an independent professional association of people employed in
all aspects of disaster recovery, contingency and business planning. It
is a not-for-profit association dedicated to providing educational opportunities,
networking with peers and the exchange of information about business continuity
issues.
Meetings:
BRPASW meets on the second Tuesday of the month from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Meetings are held nine times a year - January through June and September
through November at various locations in the Milwaukee area. The meeting
format usually includes a brief meeting followed by an educational program.

Business Continuity Planners of the Carolinas
Mission:
Formed to share information about Contingency Planning. These disciplines
involve the planning, and preparation for resumption of business in the
event of a disaster.

The Business Contingency Planning Forum of Northeast Kansas
Meetings are called each quarter and held at various host business locations.
Membership is open to any person interested in the exchange and dissemination
of information regarding business contingency and disaster recovery planning.

We've expanded the MERRTT training that is being offered on Monday during
Pre-Conference. On Friday, we'll be offering the second day of training
which will be train-the-trainer.

Day 2 MERRTT (Pre-requisite: attendance at Day 1 MERRTT November 15 pre-conference)
MERRTT Day 2 completes the full MERRTT program and overviews MERRTT Train-the-Trainer
delivery. Modules taught on Day 2 include ; Decontamination, Disposal
and Documentation; Transportation by Rail, Transportation of Safeguards
Material, Pre-Hospital Practices, Incident Command, Public Information
Officer. Attendees completing both Day 1 on November 15 and Day 2 on November
19 will receive Trainer certificates and Instructor materials for use
in conducting MERRTT courses in their localities.

IAEM 2004 Conference: "Collaboration: The Key to Success in Emergency
Management."
The IAEM Conference will be held November 5-11, 2004 at the Adams Mark

Association of Contingency Planners &
PRISM International to Hold Joint Conference in December 2004
The Board of Directors of the Association of Contingency Planners (ACP)
and the Board of Directors of Professional Records and Information Services
Management International (PRISM) have agreed to jointly host a conference
on December 9-11 in New Orleans.
Main features of the conference will include
a joint opening keynote session with Jane Boucher, author of "How to Love
the Job You Hate," joint receptions, a joint trade show area, and an opportunity
for the two associations to network individually and across organizations.
In addition, the conference will feature a number
of facility tours relating to both planning for emergency response and
business continuity and commercial information management.
The Association of Contingency Planners is the
largest international professional association for business continuity
planners as well as related professions such as crisis management, emergency
management, all arenas of disaster recover planning, and any other interested
fields. Founded in 1984, ACP has over 1500 members and 23 chapters.
