Sewell LLP Selects MessageOne's EMS Solution to Safeguard Email Communications AUSTIN, Texas - March 7, 2004 - MessageOne, Inc., developer of the groundbreaking enterprise email continuity solution Emergency Messaging System (EMS), today announced Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP has chosen to implement the EMS solution across the firm's email network. The integration of MessageOne's EMS software into the firm's information systems ensures the uninterrupted flow of information between Gardere's offices and its clients, partners, attorneys, staff and opposing counsel. "Email systems have become the backbone for corporate communications, contact management and business scheduling," said MessageOne founder and chairman Adam Dell, Esq. "Traditional approaches to email replication are ultimately too complex, costly and don't protect corporations from a number of very real threats; in other words email availability is not always guaranteed. Our EMS software provides guaranteed continuity of corporate email at less than 1/20th of the cost of traditional solutions and can be deployed globally in less than one day without disrupting a company's operations." The MessageOne EMS software is a highly scalable, standby messaging system that provides continuity of email and critical, comprehensive employee notification services that can be activated instantly at the client's request. Critical information about the primary mail system, such as the list of user accounts, notification information, personal contacts, can be automatically replicated using EMS software that runs constantly in the firm's environment. "Email is a high-level necessity in the legal profession -- any loss of communications internally or externally could be detrimental to the firm and our clients," said Ron Gaswirth, partner at Gardere. "We wanted a reliable solution that could guarantee email continuity without failure and MessageOne delivers that through EMS." "When a respected law firm has 300 attorneys and 350 support staff in five offices, it's imperative that everyone is completely in step with their communications and feel confident that they can continue to deliver a high level of responsiveness to their clients," said Russell Sachs, Esq., director of legal solutions at MessageOne. "If the EMS is activated, every employee of the firm is automatically contacted via external email, text paging, short message service (SMS) to their cell phones or Research In Motion (RIM) wireless messaging with a notice that all corporate email communications have been transferred to the EMS mail system. This immediate re-routing guarantees that there is never a loss of critical communications." Using the instructions from such an EMS alert, employees log into the secure EMS mail system from any available Web browser to receive further information from the firm and to send and receive email. Once service to the firm's primary mail system has been restored, employees can once again access the firm's regular mail system, and any emails sent or received during the emergency are automatically merged into the firm's primary mail system. "After reviewing multiple solution options, MessageOne's EMS provided the most complete package of value and advantages in cost-effectiveness, reliability, speed of deployment and critical activation," said Michael Sedtal, director of information technology at Gardere. "EMS's ease of integration, transparency and ability to manage communications alerts throughout the firm made MessageOne the right choice for maintaining our client service standards."
