Three Tips to Improve Data Recovery In an article on the Article Alley website, Andrew Watson outlines the three most important things users can do to recover data after a loss, particularly if it’s simply that you’ve erased the data on the computer. The first thing to do, he says, is to use your computer as little as possible once you’ve lost the data. “The more you use your computer it increases the probability of overwriting on the lost data,” he says. Don’t copy any new data on the hard drive, and limit your Internet use to decrease the chance of a virus attack. Next, Watson recommends freeing up some space on your hard drive. “The more free space your system has it reduces the chances of accidentally overwriting any lost files with the new files. You can also delete old files which are simply lying in your system which you do not use now,” he adds. Finally, Watson says it’s best to install data recovery software before you lose any data. Try choosing one from a well-known vendor to ensure it works properly. To read the full article, click here: http://www.articlealley.com/article_495151_45.html
