FBI Issues Prosthetic Pregnant Belly Bomb Alert

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security are warning law enforcement officials to be on the lookout for terror suspects in an unlikely place – the belly of a pregnant woman.

According to an article by Lester Haines on the Register website, terrorists are now plotting to pack explosives inside swelling prosthetic bellies that make suicide bombers appear to be pregnant.

Haines says security expert Robert Strang told CBS News: “It’s not the first time we’ve had women involved before in one way or another. They’re recruiting anybody they can get to do those things that’s not going to inform law enforcement, that’s not going to be a threat to these organizations that can get the job done.”

However, Haines says authorities have admitted they actually have no specific intelligence that terrorists are planning to use female suicide bombers in this way. He says the FBI has issued the explosive prosthetic pregnant belly alert “in the wake of recent attacks overseas.”
