London Financial Firms in Major Disaster Exercise

According to the Reuters story, “The country's financial regulators are planning a major exercise this November to prepare London's City financial community for large scale disasters such as terrorist attacks, the Financial Services Authority said on Monday.”  Fifty financial services firms from banking, insurance and investment will gather for the second exercise of this nature.

The article states, "It's a virtual exercise designed to test how effectively we would all communicate with each other and how decisions would be taken," Rob McIvor, a spokesman at the FSA told Reuters.”

The exercise is being run by The Bank of England, the Treasury and the Financial Services Authority.
